Super Cute

So as we posted earlier in this blog, we really liked some paintings that we saw while on vacation in Maui as decoration for our nursery. We showed a picture of them to our sister-in-law Cassie, who also happens to be an awesome artist, and she wanted to do some similar paintings for us! So at Brittani's 2nd baby shower (which I'm sure Brit will post pictures of soon along with the first *wink*), Cassie gave them to us! They are awesome!!

Progress in the Nursery

This weekend we picked up our dresser and crib for the nursery. Here it is so far....

Next up, more decorations and a glider chair. More pics to come, hopefully soon.

The Big 3-0

I hit 30 for the first of two times this year. Last Sunday I reached 30 weeks...only 10 weeks to go!

The nursery is painted!

One step closer to the big day! Karla and Soc were in town for the weekend and they, along with Cassie, helped paint the nursery. We are very happy with the results!

The next step is to get the crib and dresser which we already have picked out, and to decorate! Here is a sneak peak at the bedding/valance.

New ultrasound pics!

We had another ultrasound today. All went well, except for Brittani almost passing out from laying on her back too long. After getting some much needed apple juice and chocolate covered pretzels, she was good to go. Here are the pics!

We are over halfway there and super excited!

22 Weeks!

22 Weeks and a few holiday cookies later...... This is our first documented "belly" shot. We did not take any belly shots of Justin.. He apparently is not eating the holiday cookies like I am (0r something like that).

So far I have been blessed with what I consider a mild pregnancy. The nausea was never more than I could handle, and most of my other symptoms are cured with a nap. Besides the foods that I cannot have because of the pregnancy not much has really changed appetite-wise. I honestly feel like I eat less because I don't have the "reserve" that I used to have if I wanted to eat dessert or one more bite.

The last 22 weeks have gone pretty quickly, and I'm sure that the rest will also go by in the blink of an eye. At one point it seemed like we were ahead in our preparations, but we will really need to start painting and planning the nursery and getting things in order.

For now though, we'll take things day by day, belly shot by belly shot.

Painting = Not a good time

Painting is one of my least favorite things to do, but it is definitely worth it when it's done. We spent a couple of days on our "awesome vacation" painting our master bedroom.

After:

Now we only have about 90% of the house left to paint. Yay!
