The Evey Roll!

Evey started rolling over from her stomach today. The first time, I put her on her stomach in her crib and turned away for just for a few seconds. When I looked back, she was on her back! I missed it! The second time, Brittani and I both watched her do it. The third time, I put her on her belly, grabbed the camera, and by the time I turned it on she had already rolled over! So here is the fourth time, haha

Another Yard Work Weekend.

It's obviously hard to find time to do yard work when you are taking care of a newborn, but we have been doing a TON of it lately. A couple of weeks ago it was shrubs, and this week it's trees and flowers. We had the idea to plant a tree for the birth of Evey, and we also needed to replace another tree that died a couple of years ago (R.I.P. my wooden friend). Here are a couple of before pics:

With the enlisted help of Evey's Grandma Karla and Grandpa Soc, we made some good improvements.

It's been a while!

A lot has changed since our last blog post. The weather is nice, baseball is in full swing (Go Padres!), and of course, this little girl arrived.



Evey was born in April and has changed our lives ever since.



Hopefully in between feeding and diaper changing, we will have some more time to post here. :-)

Super Cute

So as we posted earlier in this blog, we really liked some paintings that we saw while on vacation in Maui as decoration for our nursery. We showed a picture of them to our sister-in-law Cassie, who also happens to be an awesome artist, and she wanted to do some similar paintings for us! So at Brittani's 2nd baby shower (which I'm sure Brit will post pictures of soon along with the first *wink*), Cassie gave them to us! They are awesome!!

Progress in the Nursery

This weekend we picked up our dresser and crib for the nursery. Here it is so far....
